2. The plants you receive may be a slightly different color than pictured because water lilies change color over the three days they are in bloom and because of the difficulty in capturing true color in photographs. However, water lilies and lotus are wonderful regardless of the color!
3. The genus of water lilies, "Nymphaea," is abbreviated N. for convenience. The genus of lotus, Nelumbo, is used without abbreviation.
4. Most of our aquatic plants are tropical: water fern, colocasia, bog lily, papyrus, white eyed sedge, marble queen, mud plantain, spider lily, blue flag iris, juncus effusus, parrots feather, water parsley, pickerels, sagittaria, lizard's tail, red stem alligator flag and water poppy.
